The Colt Official Police was introduced in 1927 and is a medium frame, double-action, six-round revolver. It was released and marketed to law enforcement agencies and it became one of the best selling police firearms of all time. The Official Police was offered in 4", 5" and 6" barrel lengths. They have been observed in .22LR, .32-20, .38 Special, .38/20 and .41 Long Colt.
