The Smith and Wesson Model 2206 is the modern version of the 622. Although it is only .22LR calibre, it is a heavy gun, as it is constructed entirely from stainless steel. They are, like all other Smith and Wessons, made to very high standards of fit and finish. Because of the very low bore axis, recoil is virtually non existent and they are a popular beginners gun.
